About Our Founder

Tim Malloy, Owner

San Angelo, TX • 325.226.9226 • tim@a-mequipment.com

In 1958, Mike Malloy went to work for Grove Valve and began a lineage in the valve business that continues today with a third generation. Although the seeds were planted early and Tim worked summers for his grandfather in the warehouse of Marshall J. Brown Company beginning at the age of 12, he graduated from Texas A&M in 1978 with a degree in Range Science and pursued his love of the outdoors with Temple Eastex, managing their wildlife and hunting operations. He returned to his roots in 1981 with Marshall J. Brown Co. and cut his teeth in the Petrochemical and Industrial markets in Texas.

In 1989 Tim relocated to San Angelo and in 1990, the business expanded into the Gas Distribution and Transmission markets and went national. In search of new challenges and personal growth, Tim left Marshall J. Brown Co. and established A&M Equipment in 2006 as Cameron Valve and Measurement’s Representative in West Texas and Southern New Mexico for the Midstream, Transmission and
Distribution markets. As A&M’s territory and opportunities expanded beyond Tim’s reach, in 2012 he brought in his oldest son Chris who was with Cameron Valves and Measurement in Houston to cover the additional area and continue the legacy his Grandfather created.

Going forward, Tim and Chris strive to honor the career of Mike Malloy with an emphasis on customer service and integrity.
